Taj Farrant is an Australian guitarist and musician known for his remarkable talent at a young age for his impressive guitar covers and original compositions. Taj has been featured in various music festivals like Big Blues Bender in Vegas, Telluride’s Blues & Brew and Australia’s largest Blues Festival Bluesfest to name a few. He has also collaborated with established artists such as Carlos Santana, Buddy Guy and the Hendrix Experience team. Farrant’s debut album tour, titled “Chapter One,” marks an exciting milestone for this young Australian guitarist and singer-songwriter. Some are comparing him to a new Stevie Ray Vaughn!

Due to the rapidly growing fan base here in the States, Taj and his family made the decision to move and are now living in the America full time. “We were flying back and forth so many times a year it just made sense to live here. Plus, I love it in the USA! I have been here more than half my life off and on so it’s my home away from home.” Balancing a professional career and a teenage life can be tough but off the stage Taj and his family live a very normal life.

On one hand people are amazed at what I can do for my age, but I want to be recognized for just being a good artist. That takes time and you must be ok to be playing to 50 people or 25K like I did at this year’s Byron Bay Blues Festival. Play because you love it.

“It’s cool when you can play a thousand notes,” he says. “But it’s way cooler when you can hold one note and it can captivate what all of those thousand notes could have done.”
